Ingredients
- 1 tsp Saffron
- 1 cup Basmati Rice
- 3 tbsps Ghee
- 1 Bay leaf
- 4 Cloves
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 5 cardamom
- 3 chilies Green
- 5 pods Garlic
- 1/4 tbsp Mustard seeds
- 1/4 tbsp Jeera
- Curry Leaves few
- 2 Onion

Instructions
- Soak Basmati Rice in water for about minutes. I used India Gate premium basmati rice. You follow the instruction mentioned incase if you are using any other rice brand 20 cans packages
- Chop onions length wise
- Crush saffron add little warm water to it half the strands
- The remaining saffron be added while cooking rice half of the strands can
- Heat ghee in a thick bottomed vessel
- Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cardamom cloves, one by one
- Sautxe9 for a minute and then add mustard seeds, jeera seeds, curry leaves
- Let them splutter. Add green chilies, chopped onions and continue sautxe9ing
- Now add water to the pan and bring it to boil 11/2 cups
- Add the remaining saffron saffron water and washed basmati rice strands,
- Do not over mix rice and water. The rice gets mashed and you will not be able to get the right texture
- Close the pan with a lid and wait until rice is completely cooked
- Allow the rice to cool down and serve it with raita or any gravy of your choice
