My little one loves Laddus.. Amma used to regularly make Ragi Laddus for her when we were in India. Shall the recipe of that soon. For now enjoy these quick and easy to make Poha/Aval laddu that is made with Jaggery, Roasted gram (pottukadalai) and other dryfruits. Also I used very little ghee. If you want you can add one or two spoons extra to get that shiny glossy finish to laddus.
You can prepare this in 20 minutes. I used Jaggery Powder in this recipe. The one I use doesn’t have much impurities so I added the powder directly to Poha. However if you feel the jaggery might have impurities then quickly make a syurp, filter them and then add to the Poha mixture.

Ingredients
- 1 Cup Poha/Flattened Rice flakes
- 1/2 Cup Roasted Channa Dal Pottukadalai/Daria
- 1/4 cup Mixed Nuts (i used Pumpkin Seeds Walnuts,Hemp seeds,Sliced Almonds)
- 1/2 cup Jaggery Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Cardamom Powder
- 2 tbsp + 1Ghee

Instructions
- In a pan dry roast Poha for about 3-4 minutes
- Remove it and keep aside. In the same pan toss Roasted gram/Pottukadalai for a minute or two
- Grind them both together to a fine powder
- Heat 2 tbsp Ghee in the pan and add jaggery powder. It will start melting
- At this stage add Poha+Roasted Gram Powder and in a slow flame mix everything together
- Keep on roasting until it turns slightly brown in color
- Now grind the nuts along with the cardamom powder, Poha+Jaggery mixture
- This step will help in preparing laddus faster
- Transfer it to a plate, add the remaining ghee. Mix everything together
- Start making Ladoos
- You can store these Poha Laddus in an airtight container for about a week
- Great snacks that can be prepared as Neivedhyam during Navarthri, you can pack this when you go for weekend trips too
