Instructions
- Soak Rice in water for about minutes 30.Drain water from rice completely and spread on a clean cloth
- Once the rice is slightly dried grind it to a very fine powder
- You add the powdered jaggery and then grind it together
- It forms a slightly thick dough.Add ghee and cardamom powder to this mixture
- I usually spread the dough in plantain leaf and then lit the lamp.Forgot to get the leaf and hence used a plate 🙂
- Make a dent using lemon and fill it with Ghee
- Place a Thiri(wick), light it and offer your prayers
- Remove the thiri later and distribute the prasadham
