There has to be some kind of Idli/Dosai batter stock always in the fridge. I keep experiementing with different ratios, different combos once in a while. Last week I made this Jowar/சோள Dosai with whole white sorghum seeds. It turned out so good. I used a combination of Idli Rice, Urad and White Sorghum seeds to prepare the batter. Also we all know that Jowar has lots of health benefits including lowering cholesterol and even helps in weight loss too. This applies to other Millets too. Being rich in fiber and other nutrients they can be included well in our regular diet. Adding to that Millets are generally gluten free. A healthy alternative to our regular dosai batter.
Have also made Millets Adai and so many Millet variety rice type of recipes. You can search ‘Millet Mela’ in the blog that will show you the other posts

Hi Gayatri sorry for late reply. Not sure how I missed seeing this comment on blog. Personally I haven’t tried making Idlis with this specific batter recipe. Have always made Dosais
