Nothing can beat steaming cup of Coffee and stack of Pancakes on a Sunday morning brunch. These pancakes are eggless and perfect for those days when you crave for an indulgent breakfast. The ingredients are very simple and you could prepare the chocolate sauce,whipped cream a day in advance.
Adding whipped cream and chocolate sauce is totally optional. You could serve the pancakes with just a drizzle of Maple Syrup and fresh berries too. I have divided the recipe into 4 sections for easier understanding.

Ingredients
For Pancakes
- 1 cup Plain flour
- 3 tsps Cocoa Dark Powder
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup Oil
- 1 tsp Vannila essence
For Whipped Cream
- 200 ml Whipping cream
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Vannila Essence

Instructions
Preparing Pancakes :
- In a wide bowl sift together flour,baking powder,cocoa powder & cinnamon together
- Add sugar and mix together with flour mixture
- First mix all the wet ingredients (milk,oil&vannila essence) together and then add them to dry flour mixture
- Use a wire whisk and mix them ensuring there are no lumps
- Let the batter rest for 10 minutes
- Heat a non-stick pan and coat the pan with some butter
- Pour a ladle of pancake batter
- Wait until you see bubbles and flip over the pancakes
- Apply some butter on top of the pancakes
- After roughly around 3 minutes you can remove the pancakes from pan
Preparing the Chocolate Sauce
- Dissolve sugar in water and bring them to boil in a saucepan
- Add cocoa powder to the pan and start stirring
- Keep the flame low and continue stirring for about 5-7 minutes
- The sauce will start to thicken and it will change to a dark brown color
- At this stage remove hot sauce from the pan and transfer them to a bowl
For Whipped Cream :
- Using a handmixer start whipping the cream
- The speed should be minimum (level 1) while whipping the cream. This will prevent the cream from splitting
- After 3 minutes of whipping add in sugar & vannilla essence
- Continue to whip for another 3 minutes approximately
- You will get the right consistency of cream. Top this on pancakes before serving
Assembling Pancakes :
- Stack the pancakes on a plate
- Top it with cream and pour chocolate sauce
- If you have fresh berries (raspberries,strawberries or blueberries) add them and serve the pancakes
