Baking is something which makes me nervous until I taste the end product 😆😂 Haven’t experimented much in baking because of this reason 🙂 I am still sticking to basic cookies, cupcake & puff pastry sheet based recipes. My preparation is not like a pro and I share only those recipes that turned out delicious 🙂 This eggless cookie recipe is truly a perfect little treat for our toddlers. They stay good for upto a week when stored in an air tight container. I have used Plain Flour and White Sugar for the recipe. These cookies are not chewy and they have a crumble like texture..The following measurement yields around 15-18 medium sized cookies. Adjust quantities based on your requirement.
The most popular query when it comes to baking is people asking me if the same recipe will work when substituted with Whole Wheat Flour & Jaggery?? Unfortunately I don’t know 🙂 Please try it at your own risk.

- Powder Sugar+Cardamom pods together in a mixie.Add it along with the softened butter
- Sieve Plain Flour+Baking Powder+Baking Soda+Cinnamon Powder
- Using an electric hand mixer or a wire whisk cream together Butter+Sugar for a minute. They might look curdled at the moment but don't worry about it
- Add milk and continue creaming for a minute or two
- Add vanilla essence to this wet mixture
- Slowly add the flour mixture, choco cips to the butter+sugar mixture
- Using your hands form a dough as shown below
- Start shaping them into discs
- Line a baking tray & pre-heat oven to 180c
- Bake the discs for 13-15 minutes approximately. The timings might increase or decrease based on the oven you use. Please keep checking inbetween so that you don't burn the cookies
- After that specified time remove the baking tray from heat and leave it aside for them to cool down
- Mine looks slightly thicker but they were baked perfectly inside
- Now you can put them in an air-tight container. Dont close the container when the cookies are warm. It might make the cookies soggy
If you don't have Choco Chips you can add Cocoa Powder for that chocolatey flavor.
