For Tadka :

  1. For curd rice the rice has to be cooked well, it should not be grainy. So cook rice with extra water
  2. Rice : water ratio has to be 1:31/2. For one cup of rice you need 3.5 cups of water
  3. Once the rice is cooked spread them in a wide bowl, mash them and let it cool completely
  4. Next add milk and yogurt. Mix it well with rice. Add 1/2 tsp of salt
  5. Prepare Tadka with mustard seeds, urad dal seeds & curry leaves. Add this to rice
  6. Adjust salt accordingly
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves
