Sathu Maavu Laddu

Instructions
  1. In a pan dry roast Sathu Maavu for 10 minutes. Keep the temperature low
  2. Use a spatula and continuously stir them. Ensure the powder doesn’t get burnt
  3. Powder 1/2 cup of Sugar along with Cardamom Pods in a mixie. Melt ghee in microwave or in stove top. Keep it aside
  4. Once the roasting is done add sugar, 1/4 cup of ghee and mix everything well. Turn off the flame. Let it cool down for few minutes
  5. Then transfer them (sathu maavu+sugar+ghee mixture) to Mixie again and just pulse it for few seconds. This step helps in binding the ingredients better and also you can easily shape the laddoos. I do this trick for MaaviLakku and Amma taught me this in order to avoid using too much of ghee. I followed the same trick here too.
  6. Apply very little ghee in your hands and then start shaping laddoos.
  7. Easy toddler snack ready in under 30 minutes.
Recipe Notes

Store it in a clean air tight container. It stays good for upto 3-4 weeks. Also you don’t need to store it in fridge. Make sure you take laddus out from the container using dry hands.
