Dry roast curry leaves in a frying pan. Keep it aside
In the same pan dry roast toor dal & urad dal until they are golden brown. Keep the flame low so that the daal dont turn black
Then add dried red chillies,jeera, pepper & coriander seeds
Saute for 5-6 minutes until all the other ingredients are roasted
Add hing & 1/2 tbsp salt
Grind the daal mixture first for few seconds
Add curry leaves later & then grind everything together
This can be served with hot rice as shown below. Along with it i have served milagu kuzhambu, koottu and pachadi. This is such a healthy postpartum diet
Curry leaf powder idlis
Just chop idli into pieces. Heat oil in a pan
Add mustard seeds,urad dal. Let it splutter
Add the idlies, 2 tbsp curry leaf powder and a tbsp of oil
