Instructions
Wash Quinoa thoroughly. You can place them in a fine mesh colander
Boil 2 cups of water in kettle and add it to Quinoa
I felt that adding boiled water to Quinoa speeds up the cooking process. If you don’t have kettle then boil water in a vessel first. Once it comes to rolling boil add Quinoa
-
Add a tsp of Oil and a tiny pinch of salt. Let it get cooked in boiling water
After approximately 10-12 minutes Quinoa looks like this
You might notice that Quinoa is 3/4 th cooked and can see Quinoa soaking all the water
Remove excess water at this stage
Turn off the stove and cover the vessel for 10 minutes
Then use a fork to fluff the Quinoa up and once it is cooled down completely you can mix it with veggies or serve it as it is along with Daal/Saambar
I served Quinoa with some Daal and Paneer sticks
