Farfalle Pasta in Tomato Sauce
Very simple and basic pasta recipe with homemade tomato sauce. I prepared this for breakfast today. Adjust salt and spice according to your taste. It took around 20 minutes.The following measurement serves two.

  1. Sauce Preparation :
  2. Boil tomatoes in water for about 5 minutes with little salt
  3. Peel off the skin and keep it aside
  4. Chop garlic and grind them along with tomatoes, chilli flakes,dried oregano leaves,basil leaves
  5. Heat olive in a sauce pan and add this tomato paste. Add in pepper powder, a pinch of salt and let the sauce be simmered on a low flame.
  6. Pasta Preparation :
  7. You boil pasta in water along with olive oil,a salt for about minutes can pinch of 12
  8. However today I cooked pasta in pressure cooker. Just cooked pasta up to 3 whistles and then washed them in cold water.This saved me some cooking time
  9. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and add chopped onions,remaining garlic capsicum pods,
  10. Saute until onions become translucent
  11. Now add tomato sauce to the frying pan along with salt,pepper and let the whole mixture boil for about 2 minutes
  12. Later add the cooked pasta and toss it so that the sauce is evenly coated on pasta
  13. Close the pan. Let the whole mixture blend well with pasta
  14. Before serving pasta sprinkle some grated cheese on it
  15. ****Notes :
  16. You can add oregano,basil leaves before serving the pasta too. Even while pressure cooking pasta don’t forget to add oil,salt to it. This prevents pasta sticking to each other and ensures they are cooked beautifully. There are lots of ways in which you can prepare this tomato sauce. I just used available ingredients at my house. You can try other versions too.
