Crispy Paneer Fingers
A simple yet delicious starter/Appetizer and a perfect dish for potluck parties. You can even replace paneer with Tofu and prepare this dish. Just make sure you have soft, fresh paneer and bread crumbs. I used Keya (Low Oil absorbent)Japanese bread crumbs that was available in the nearby store.
Instructions
Soak Paneer in water for 15-20 minutes. Squeeze water and using a kitchen towel pat them dry. This ensure the texture of paneer to be soft
Cut paneer into finger size sticks. (chop them lengthwise)
Mix turmeric, chilli powder, salt and garam masala powder with little water
Marinate paneer fingers in this spice mix
Make sure the paneer pieces are evenly coated
Let them sit for about 20 minutes
Mix maida and corn flour to a thick paste with little salt in it
-
Keep the bread crumbs in a flat plate
Dip paneer in maida corn paste and roll them with bread crumbs
Allow crumbs to coat on the paste. Once all the panner fingers are coated with bread crumbs, deep fry them until golden brown
Crunchy on outside, melt in mouth on the inside these paneer fingers are a perfect starter dish
Serve them hot with Tomato Ketchup/Tomato Sauce
