Channa Pulao
Channa pulao is an easy-to-cook one pot meal. You don’t have to grind a separate masala for this recipe. I made this pulao with normal rice. However you can use Basmati rice. Also I haven’t added any other vegetables apart from onions & tomato. Incase if you have any left over veggies you might
Instructions
Soak channa overnight. Pressure cook channa with little salt and water upto 3 whistles
Chop onions, green chillies lengthwise. Chop tomatoes finely
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker
Add cashew nuts. Once the color starts changing add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cardamom cloves
Sautxe9 for a minute. Then add saunf, mustard seeds, curry leaves

Now add onions, tomato, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and sautxe9 until the raw smell goes off
Add cooked chickpeas to the pressure cooker and then the garam masala powder
Add little water and let the whole mixture boil for about minutes 2
Clean & wash rice (uncooked) and add this rice to pressure cooker
Since I used normal rice I added around water 3 cups
If you are using basmati rice then add water accordingly
Add salt and mint leaves and pressure cook upto 4 whistles
Channa Pulao is ready and you serve it with either raita or any gravy of your choice can
