Ingredients

  1. First we will prepare a mix using the above said ingredients and then we can add that to plain white rice/brown rice
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and add mustard seeds,roasted peanuts,urad dal,channa dal,curry leaves.
  3. Let it splutter. Now add the chopped vegetables (capsicum,onion,tomato)
  4. Add chilli powder,coriander powder,ginger-garlic paste,salt,turmeric one by one and saute for few minutes.
  5. The capsicum masala mix will be ready in 7-10 minutes. Just sprinkle 1/4 cup water for the veggies to get cooked & close the pan
  6. Don’t add more water
  7. Spread the cooked white rice in a plate or wide bottomed vessel. Add the capsicum masala to it.Using a fork mix it carefully. This will ensure the rice doesn’t get mashed up.
  8. Finally garnish it with coriander leaves.
  9. You can have this rice with Raita,Potato fry or Pappad.
