Angaya Podi (Post Partum Diet)
Instructions
Take a frying pan for roasting the ingredients. At all times keep the flame either low or medium low. This will prevent quick browning of the ingredients
Dry roast (without adding oil) all the ingredients separately
Grind everything together
If you find it time consuming then you can split them in groups & then roast it
Alternatively :
You could first roast together Pepper+Jeera. Keep it aside
Next Coriander seeds+Dried Redchillies+Ajwain
Then roast manathakali vathali + sundakkai vathal
Then roast toor dal along with salt
Finally grind everything to fine powder
You can eat this podi with plain rice. A simple Raita or Pachadi can be served as side dish.. In this picture I am serving Angaya Podi sadham with cucumber raita & plain moongdal.. Also i have some roasted manathakali vathal & sundakkai vathal.
