Ingredients

I used Ponni. You can substitute with Basmati if you want

green chilli

Bay leaf

small cloves

Kaara chutney or Red Chutney
You can substitue it with Tomato Puree from 3 tomatoes+few pieces of ginger garlic & add extra 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder

yogurt

ghee

Instructions
Pressure cook BabyPotatoes for 4 whistles. Peel the skin and keep it aside
Heat ghee in a wide bottomed vessel
Add Bayleaf, cinnamon sticks, cloves and elaichi
Saute for a minute
Add Onions, slit green chilli, curry leaves and saute until onions become brown in color
Add salt, baby potatoes.Give it a mix
Now is the time to add kaara chutney and other dry spice powders. Gently mix everything together
Add yogurt and 1/2 cup water. Simmer the flame
Let the potatoes absorb the flavors for 4-5 minutes
Add rice and mix gently. Ensure potatoes arent getting mashed
Adjust salt and garnish with mint & coriander leaves
Turn off the flame and close the pan
After 10 minutes serve this delicious Briyani with Raita 😁
