This Ragi/Finger Millet flour dosai can be made from leftover regular dosai batter and hence it doesn’t need much time for fermentation.You can prepare dosai immediately. I have added lots of veggies and it tasted great along with spicy onion chutney.
Ingredients for batter:
- Sprouted or Plain Ragi Flour – 2 cups
- Leftover Dosai batter – 1 cup
- Salt – 1/2 tbsp
Ingredients for preparing vegetable mix :
Onion – 1
Carrot – 1
Capsicum – 1
Tomato (optional) – 1
Grated Ginger – 1tbsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder – 1/2 tbsp
Coriander Powder – 1/2 tbsp
Oil – 2tbsp
Mustard Seeds – 1tbsp
Jeera – 1tbsp
Curry leaves – few
Method of Preparation :
Mix ragi flour with dosai batter and ensure there aren’t any lumps
Add water to this mixture until you get the ‘Dosa’ consistency
Method of preparation of Ragi Veg Dosa :
Heat a frying pan with oil.
Add Mustard Seeds, Jeera,Curry leaves and let it splutter.
Now add all the vegetables mentioned above and add salt,turmeric,chilli powder,corriander powder to this.
Add little water and saute this mixture for about 5-10 minutes.
Keep this mixture aside.
Heat Dosa Tava and pour the battar right in the middle of the Tava.
Spread it evenly through the Tava and then spread the veggie mix on the battar.
Pour some oil around the edges and wait until one side of the dosa is cooked.
Carefully turn the other side and let it get cooked.
Now delicious ragi veg dosa is ready to be served with any spicy chutney.
