As I always say “Social Media” is such a powerful medium. We can either use it in a constructive manner or for just fun purposes Few days back one of my foodie friends on Instagram started a conversation about organizing a get tog
We wanted to meet at a place where we all can spend some time together, exchange ideas or thoughts about our culinary journey, how it has helped us to grow as a person and how we have become passionate about it. At last we decided to hangout at Maison Bertaux for an evening coffee/tea to hog some of their delicious desserts.
Foodies started gathering around that place from 5.30pm. It was a cold and rainy evening, which was so perfect to enjoy an Éclairs and hot chocolate. As true Instagram addicts we started clicking our food pictures first and then chatted our way throughout the evening. It was so nice to see women who juggle between full time day jobs, manage the kids and then write/maintain a professional blog as well. For an ordinary blogger like me I was truly amazed by their talents. Each and every woman who attended this meet inspired me so much. They were sharing their experiences about the food scenes in this London city, various culinary ambitions that they have in mind. People usually think that if two or more ladies gather at a place then they might be gossiping about others. But no, that wasn’t the case with us. (Yes I am telling the truth.) We had so much fun, good food and a great evening altogether. Few of the ladies headed out to a restaurant for dinner but due to time constraints I couldn’t join them. We are planning to conduct such meets once in a month or arrange a potluck party so that we could try different cuisines and showcase our cooking skills all at one place as well. Fingers crossed and waiting for this to happen real soon.
This is one of my favorite quotes of Cooking Goddess Julia Child. It is a very apt quote to pin it here. The reason is ,the foodies I met they all are from different regions, we all are influenced by different cultures but the one thing that united us was the true love and passion for food.
Kindly check the links below to the websites of the fellow bloggers who attended the meet. Try your favorite recipes from there. You can follow them in Social Media to get instant updates about their new culinary experiments.
